| Proposal contributor Hello Monica, Thank you for your message. Please watch this brief message from B. Gates as it helps address the judge's potential concern over initial risk of supporting an aggressive development of the needed technology as vast scale deployment of low cost/sustainably built bioreactors would be supportive of vast scale usage of Bio-Energy with Carbon Capture and Sequestration (BECCS) as well as algae derived fabric/plastics. The Breakthrough Energy Coalition Warmest regards, Michael

| Proposal contributor Further, This proposal is related to 2 other currently active Colab proposals which may offer an expanded view of how this proposal can be broadly integrated with other critical environmental and business concerns. Please see: a) Alumni/SDM/VMS/CoLab Hybrid Initiative: Alumni Mentors Fast Track CoLab Concepts b) A Carbon Negative Infrastructure and Economy: A Systems Design/Mngmt Approach As this proposal is developed, a number of key aspects of the above 2 proposals will be used. Also, this overall effort has its roots in an earlier work known as the 'Intergovernmental Marine Bio-Energy with Carbon Utilization and Sequestration (IMBECUS) Protocol Draft'. Michael |

| Proposal contributor I would like to draw the attention of reader to the below 'Global Plan' which is currently in the last days of voting. Although my past work is used in this proposal and I have joined the team (and given my vote to the effort) many others have contributed. The following text was posted today within the Global Plan in support of the proposal and I ask all readers to spend a few minutes in reviewing the options and place your vote before the deadline. The Global Plan: Make Climate a Top Priority for Action by Every Global Citizen and Organization is, without exception, the most well thought out, actionable and inclusive of any proposal ever submitted within the CoLab experiment and should be selected/supported by those that truly understand that we need such broad based efforts if we are to realistically challenge the power base which has brought us to this global scale point of collective suicide. All of the other 4 Global Plan proposals, currently in the voting stage, are supported, either directly or indirectly, within this proposal (including my own) and thus voting for this highly inclusive plan would be supporting the entire spectrum of proposals. In brief, we fundamentally need to rally around a comprehensive and inclusive central plan, such as this proposal offers, so that the effort(s) and funding can be focused with the most strength and done so in the shortest possible time: for time is not our ally in this life or death struggle. To reject this proposal would be to be to reject the existential need to substantially confront the power base which threatens our very existence. In the simplest words: which side of the struggle do you wish to support? Michael |

| Dear Michael123, Thank you for your continued dedication to the Climate CoLab! We appreciate the number of proposals and great ideas you have brought to the platform. The Climate CoLab updates the contest rules each year to ensure the successfulness of our contests. As it could potentially effect your current submissions, we wanted to make you aware of a recent rule change. The new rule states, "Each field in the proposal template has a character limit. Embedding images and links to other proposals and websites is permitted and encouraged. Images may contain brief amounts of text to describe the graphic (e.g. title, legend, axis labels, content of a graph). However, images with large amounts of descriptive text (e.g. screenshots of articles, papers, or online documents) are not allowed. Participants who do not comply to this rule may not be advanced to the Semi-Finalist or Finalist stage." We encourage you edit your proposal to addresses the recent rule change. Thank you for your understanding and compliance with the Climate CoLab’s contest rules. You can find all of our contest rules here: https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/resources/-/wiki/Main/Contest+rules#Whatdoesanentryinthecontestcontain. Annalyn Bahmann |
