| Dear Martin Thank you for submitting to the Adaptation contest - I think the idea of bamboo plantations/production is particularly sustainable. If you could expand on a pilot project budget that could help in the assessment of viability.
best wishes, Monika |

| Dear Martin, your proposal seems really interesting. I would just suggest that you could give a scale to the project: how many farmers would it help? 10? 100? Keep up the good work Rita |

| Thank you for your proposal. Has bamboo been tested in Sierra Leone? Are there references on how bamboo resist to a warmer climate/less predictable rainfall? Best |

| Proposal contributor Bamboo grows wild in Sierra Leone. Experts say bamboo has many species and al of which can grow in the tropics. Yes, bamboo already grows in Sierra Leone, but it is not recognized as a climate resilient crop. Thanks, Martin |

| I really like the entrepreneurial aspect of this adaptation effort. It serves to diversify incomes to increase local resilience in addition to creating a more sustainable fuel source. |

| Martin, Last day to refine the proposal. Looking forward to seeing the final version. Is this a Sierre Leone specific proposal, or would the bamboo technologies apply in other bamboo-producing regions? Can you help to quantify the climate-resilience of bamboo? Why is it a particularly climate-resilient crop? Good luck. |

| Dear Martin, your idea is innovative but you have to consider the possibility of problems with the bamboo itself in case the bamboo would not be enough for the aim pursue. As well, would be interesting to know about a case study you could include in your proposal and possible proposal on legal rules related to the promotion of this solution. The problem of your proposal seems to be quiet broad considering the need of specific places to be included in the proposal if you can explain the parts of rivers, lakes and other watercourses to be considered as possible case studies would be interesting. Cheers. |
