Additional Comments:

1)The crypto as very little to do with the entire project as there is no real risk of thefts of the consumers tokens. With that in mind the proposal is misplaced for the particular challenge, in addition the location of implementation has not been provided.

2)IoT and blockchain (bitcoin) is a promising landscape for measurement of public benefits and then creating value that the virtuous consumer can use. I would enjoy seeing a thoughtful proposal on that topic, but there isn’t anything here. It doesn’t link to any of the locations required of this contest, and doesn’t offer any reasonable even first concept of a path to try something out. I hope to see more in the future.

Judges' Comments

Proposal needs to be further developed as the concept is not clear. Furthermore the emission reduction are not really assessed, nor are the other benefits (moreover reported in wrong section. The proposal is not fully costed and the timeline is not clear.

Similar to existing Building Management Systems (BMS). The presentation by Team CHIMERA INC. was not clearly thought out. Further basis require for the suggested energy cut of 30% Emission reduction statement not clearly spelt out. Lack of cost computation and clear or suggest time lines does not portray the proposal as a viable one.

Too players in the chain and the introduction suggests that the team is more about cryto tokens and thus not taken time to explore the proposed solution in its entirety.
Note that the 30% power losses in the USA are from more than just the home, most of it is as a result of the inability to fully synchronize the power generation to consumption as power is not being stored.
With all the initiatives in the USA such as insulation, double glazing, equipment trade-ins and many others and yet they have a loss of 30%, the loss in Kenya must be astronomical.
