Dear Mariah, Thanks for your proposal to the Climate CoLab. I'm one of the catalysts, helping provide comments and feedback, in an effort to help strengthen proposals. Thanks for your proposal about the Power for the People campaign for solar power. Your proposal is coming along nicely and is clearly articulated thus far. Please continue to fill out the sections and update your proposal before the 6/13 deadline. It will be interesting to hear how (and where) you will launch the campaign, and, specifically, how it will be funded & also what kinds of advertising channels you might use. Thanks for your contributions to the CoLab!

Hello JPerron and Stevieleonardharison, Thank you for your advice and comments! My team has designed two sample advertisements to accompany our proposal. I am not sure how to submit them however. I uploaded one of them in the image section, but it is tiny and there is not a place to upload a second image. Is there some other way to submit material to the judges? All my best, Mariah

Hi team Power for the People, This is Andreas from team RE-volv. I'm curious about how you plan to roll out the campaign. Is the idea to get other solar companies to share the ad campaign that you create? Would they co-brand it together? Or would multiple companies share it independently? I'm wondering how we might be able to work together in this effort. I think your idea is great and these ads would work well in states we're working in like OH, PA, and WI. Thanks, Andreas

Hi Andreas, Thanks for reaching out! I absolutely agree - you have a great thing going with RE-volv and there definitely is a way that we can work together - I added mention of your team to our proposal. Our goal is to raise awareness, and ultimately accessibility, for the industry in general - as the "Got Milk" campaign did for example. We are working on a website that would be a hub full of resources for people to "go solar". It will include links to grants, funds, companies, a mentorship program and clear directions for how to navigate the system. Our target audience has evolved to have a big focus on low income populations. At the very least, we would include a link to your company on the website as one way to help make the panels affordable for low income families (and for others that would want to donate to your program). I would definitely be open to combining efforts in a bigger way if that is what you had in mind? All my best, Mariah

Andreas, I did not fully answer your question about our "roll out" strategy from July 6th. To use the advertising campaign that United Under the Sun creates, a solar company would pay (either voluntarily, or per a government mandate) some portion of their revenue if it is over $X (TBD). This structure and idea is loosely based on the "Check-off" commodity programs through the USDA. Initially we would launch the campaign to the solar industry to get buy-in. The pooled investment from the solar companies would allow us to launch the campaign - first through a "PR stunt" as suggested in our "Where will these actions be taken" - e.g. we will power an "all-American" event with solar, distribute promotional materials at the event, show money saved on a big display and donate it to a charity post event. We will capitalize on this stunt for free print and social media promotion of solar energy. Eventually we will move toward national print and broadcast, and perhaps rope in a celebrity or two to connect with their fan base. Our hope is that market research from our target demographics will inspire a fantastic slogan that will take hold and spread widely - like a ray of sunshine!!! Mariah

India's PM Mr. Modi recently announced Global/International Solar Alliance with HQ to be set up at Delhi. This is welcome initiative & countries in temperate climate zone should actively foster utilization of solar insolation by countries in & around the equator with higher quantities of sunlight reaching the earth surface. He termed it as the 'manifestation of the collective wisdom of leaders of nations in the world'. Such initiatives are quite welcome and should be supported at all forums.

For collective wisdom of mankind to manifest the worldwide implementation of "Swami Vivekananda Fruit Trees Expansion Mission" would be helpful.
