Sun Lunch is such a creative yet simple idea for shifting energy demands to reduce one's carbon footprint! I think this proposal would be much stronger if you could offer more insight and detail about how implementers could work to create influential and effective Sun Lunch campaigns at different scales. How exactly would you suggest reaching individuals and groups to help educate them and (ideally) shift their behavior? Do you already have any social media tools or outreach materials? Also, while I see how Sun Lunch can redistribute energy use to reduce energy use during peak hours, I'm not quite sure I understand how the Sun Lunch reduces overall energy demand to reduce diners' carbon footprint. Perhaps this could be made more clear in the proposal. Good luck.

Hello Tim, Thanks for your proposal to the Climate CoLab. I'm one of the catalysts, helping provide comments and feedback, in an effort to help strengthen proposals. Thanks for your proposal for Sun Lunch; catchy name! You've done a good job in articulating why shifting energy demand to peak solar output would be useful in regions already utilizing solar power. It would be useful to expand on how you would work to popularize the idea of Sun Lunch, and use of solar for electricity generation more broadly, and how one might begin to compel participation. It would be useful to speak to cultural and geographic differences as well in this regard. Thanks for your contributions to the CoLab!
