Thank you for participating in the Designing High Density Urban Bike Parking competition and for the time and effort you spent creating your submission.
The judges have considered hangAbike and have chosen not to advance it into the Finalists round of this competition. Although the judges found your proposal to be interesting and imaginative, your submission has been deemed technically challenging beyond the scope of this competition.
We appreciate your creative contribution to the competition and thank you for being a part of this effort to design innovative, high-density bike parking.

Judges'' comments
Congratulations! Your submission, hangAbike, has been selected to advance to the Semi-Finalists round of the competition! The presentation of your submission is unique and the judges appreciate your design’s novelty and creativity.
You now have until March 7th to make revisions or additions to your proposal. We hope to see you use this time before the final round of judging to respond to design issues that were raised by the contest judges, including:
• Clarifying how your design functions, specifically how the bike is secured in the rack, while still meeting the City of Cambridge Technical Criteria for Bike Parking Design (“bicycle racks must not… require that the bicycle be lifted to get it into position”). The graphics do not show exactly how the bicycles get into position.
• Adding more specificity and detail to your design, especially around how this design deals with moving parts that will break down.
• Highlighting what benefits the touch screen would add.
• Explaining how your design is able to accommodate different bicycle sizes and types, such as those with baskets or panniers, or longer bikes such as “extra-cycles”.
• Creating a more detailed price estimate.
