Judges'' comments
Judge 1:
There are existing models of websites that try to match initiatives with resources. There are crowd funding sites for climate change related initiatives, sites that try to match more concentrated resources with opportunities (like buying small businesses), and sites that try to match projects (like design, art, and architecture) with the required professional services. All of them face similar challenges:
- How do you fund development and operation of the environment for matching projects with supporters (usually a web site)?
- How do you ensure that participants are credible, screening out both crooks and people who fervently believe in their own abilities but are not rational?
- How do you recruit participants to get the volume of activity required to sustain this initiative?
The owner could strengthen this proposal considerably by addressing these questions.
Judge 2:
I like the global approach, but the project seems a little diffuse. Would a pilot phase help?
