Judges'' comments
Judge 1:
You need to establish a way to vet people on the site who are asking for assistance. That is a difficult thing to do in may countries but absolutely necessary if you want to interest MIT alums.
Judge 2:
How will you encourage participation? Would it make sense to have in-person mixers with existing alumni clubs? What distinguishes this from a list-serve? If simplicity is a goal, would a list-serve be better?
