I agree that climate change might end civilization as we know it, which would be nearly as catastrophic as human extinction.  Human extinction is not out of the question, either.  Convincing world leaders of the seriousness of the threat is key to minimizing the risk of such an outcome.

Open courseware to guide leaders (and, more important their staff and constituents) through the global warming controversy (see https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/1303301/phaseId/1312704/planId/1326102 can play a very important part in any attempt to influence the opinions of world leaders.  I hope you will vote to support that proposal.
