We see this proposal as an interesting, compelling and unique set of behavioral changes that can be taken by individuals around the world that, collectively, will have a strong impact on mitigating climate change.

It will require longterm and enduring efforts, and the authors will need to identify the long-existing and critical barriers to successfully implementing this idea, and find a way how to overcome them. For example, we did not see that the fundraising strategy proposed here was strong enough to accomplish this plan of action, and we see challenges in implementing the changes in laws and regulation in the subproposals

The proposal has been improved from previous version, but we still urge the authors to consider:
- who will champion this;
- how champions are cultivated or deployed;
- who will coordinate and monitor actions and impacts.

The proposal may benefit from any support that may given to the Article 6 of the UNFCCC (on education & training).

Advancing as Semi-Finalist

Congratulations! Your proposal, Make Climate a Top Priority for Action by Every Global Citizen and Organisation in the Global Climate Action Plan contest, has been selected to advance to the Semi-Finalists round.

You will be able to revise your proposal and add new collaborators if you wish, from now until November 4, 2015, at 11:59pm midnight Eastern Time. We’ve also included feedback that will be posted under the Evaluation tab of your proposal. Please incorporate this feedback in your revisions. As you make revisions, we recommend you save an offline copy as a backup.

At the revision deadline mentioned above, your proposal will be locked and considered in final form. The Judges will undergo another round of evaluation to ensure that Semi-Finalist proposals have addressed the feedback given, and select which proposals will continue to the Finalists round.

Finalists will be eligible for the contest’s Judges Choice award, as well as for public voting to select the contest’s Popular Choice award. The Winners will be recognized and widely publicized by the Climate CoLab. Global climate action plans include ideas from all the people who contributed to the sub-proposals, not just those who created the integrated proposal itself. To recognize all these contributions, a winning integrated proposal receives CoLab Points that are distributed among all these people. Very attractive idea and feasible. Can still consider to add some other fun and easy actions for the public to act up on, for instance combining the "Reducing Footprints by Reducing Animal Consumption.

This is interesting and should be explored.

We followed the above suggestion from judges to improve impact from the plan by adding the action proposal, "Reducing Footprints by Reducing Animal Consumption." Another action proposal we added is the award-winning CoLab proposal, "Visualizing climate-changed futures with serious play." Both proposals are described in the text with additional details shown at the end of Appendix B.

Had available text-space been available, we could have added many other actions. Clearly, strong impact will occur if our total of 24 proposed actions are implemented globally. Different actions will be emphasized in different regions, as determined by needs, interests, and available resources.

To improve presentation, we revised wording in the plan, including (a) offering more information in Appendix B about proposed activities and (b) eliminating some instances of using passive voice and non-parallel forms in sentences.

After a comprehensive Internet search, we found no international organization that put major emphasis on improving cooperation and coordination among grassroots organizations. To improve our scores for novelty, we added text that highlights how novel our global plan truly is.

Specifically, our plan has a unique potential to markedly enhance the power of grassroots organizing by the following:

1) Improving communication among grassroots organizations about (a) novel approaches and (b) what works and what doesn't work.

2) Encouraging mutual actions, especially mutual actions that create stronger and more widespread effects because of synergies.

3) Motivating individuals, businesses, and governments to assist numerous grassroots organizations around the world in their efforts to protect the environment. The feasibility of the plan is high, according to judges. Support for that judgment will be demonstrated if the plan receives votes from individuals who are already associated with CoLab and with other grassroots organizations around the world. Their votes will demonstrate that they appreciate both the feasibility and the need for more cooperation and coordination among action-oriented grassroots organizations.
