Thank you for participating in the 2015 Climate CoLab Global Climate Action Plan contest, and for the time you spent in creating your entry.
The Judges have strongly considered your proposal, and have chosen to not advance it as a Finalist for this contest.
We, the Judges and contest Fellows, are truly grateful for your contribution to the Climate CoLab and for your commitment to address climate change at a global level.
We encourage you to keep developing your work and to submit it into future contests and very much hope you will stay involved in the Climate CoLab community. Please support and comment on other proposals on the platform and vote for the Global proposal you think is the most promising one.

Additional comments from the Judges:
While it offers an interesting and compelling idea that has been around for quite a while, we do not see that this proposal in particular is mature enough to advance to the Finalist round. We aren't convinced that the solution proposed here would work in developing countries, where this may have to be a government-run programme rather than a private sector one. The proposal also does not speak to how to manage the cost of the collection. We would have liked the proposal to have elaborated on how advocacy efforts would help the initiative, or how logging companies would be incentivized to assist.

Advancing as Semi-Finalist
Congratulations! Your proposal, A Biochar Solution for Climate Change in the Global Climate Action Plan contest, has been selected to advance to the Semi-Finalists round.
We urge you to complete sections that have been left blank by November 4, 2015, at 11:59pm midnight Eastern Time. We’ve also included feedback that will be posted under the Evaluation tab of your proposal. Please incorporate this feedback in your revisions. As you make revisions, we recommend you save an offline copy as a backup.
At the revision deadline mentioned above, your proposal will be locked and considered in final form. The Judges will undergo another round of evaluation to ensure that Semi-Finalist proposals have addressed the feedback given, and select which proposals will continue to the Finalists round.
Finalists will be eligible for the contest’s Judges Choice award, as well as for public voting to select the contest’s Popular Choice award. The Winners will be recognized and widely publicized by the Climate CoLab. Global climate action plans include ideas from all the people who contributed to the sub-proposals, not just those who created the integrated proposal itself. To recognize all these contributions, a winning integrated proposal receives CoLab Points that are distributed among all these people. -Not addressing the disperse nature of the issue.
-This idea has been around. The proposal could have benefited from quantification of impacts as also further fleshing out on how past barriers can be overcome.
