Greetings Estefania, Thank you for submitting your proposal. Unfortunately, in order for the Fellows, Advisors, and Judges to review your proposal we need the proposal to be submitted in English. If you could translate your proposal it would be much appreciated and would make it possible for us to give it the consideration that it deserves. Regards, Jeff Harti

Hello Estefania, Thanks for the proposal. Admittedly, I do not speak Spanish, so what I understand of your project comes solely from Google Translate. I'm sorry if I get details incorrect. As I understand it, you're advocating for increased urban solar photovoltaic use, rather than its current primary positioning in rural areas? If that is indeed the case, I very much agree with you. The amount of unused space in cities (rooftops, on top of parking lots, ect) could be of great benefit for sustainable purposes. Covering them in solar panels (or emerging technologies like solar roads) also presents a great opportunity to mitigate the urban heat island effect. France is now well ahead of the curve in this regard, having very recently required that all new buildings in commercial sectors must have either solar panels or greenery on their roofs http://cleantechnica.com/2015/03/22/solar-panels-greenery-every-new-building-rooftop-france/ I hope you will Jeff's advice and resubmit this proposal in English so that it might be properly evaluated. Best regards, Dustin Carey Catalyst
