Am I correct in assuming that you propose to shut down street lighting entirely during the nights? What about potential safety issues that could arise? What do you think about the idea of integrating a motion detector into street lights? The motion detector can recognize whether individuals or cars are approaching which causes the light to be switched on. Otherwise, the street lights could remain switched off.
