Pitch

Requiring a tv to be powered by a stationary bicycle would not only be good healthy for the inhabitants of the earth but for the earth.

Description

Summary

  • A stationary bicycle would run a generator.  This would have a 110 volt outlet. Into it you could plug a TV, a light in a third world country (thus allowing them to be off the grid)

Assuming the average TV uses 200 watts per hour, that is .00000069 tons of carbon dioxide per watt per hour or .127 kilograms per hours of carbon dioxide.

Since there are 1.4 billion TV households, optimistically if a corporation could penetrate 5 percent of the market, this would be 70 million TV households. Therefore, we would save 8,890,000 kilograms per hour of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
