Thank you for your contest entry. We appreciate your willingness to share your ideas and also the time and effort you put into developing a proposal and submitting it to the contest. We have reviewed your proposal and found that it contained intriguing elements; however, have chosen not to advance it to the next round of competition. We encourage you to keep developing your idea. Transfer your proposal to a Workspace to re-open it, make edits, add collaborators, and even submit it into a future contest. You can do so by logging into your account, opening your proposal, selecting the Admin tab, and clicking “Move proposal.” We welcome you to stay involved in the Climate CoLab community: support and comment on proposals that have been named Finalists, and vote during the public voting period to help select the contest’s Popular Choice Winner. Climate CoLab will be opening more contests throughout the year and you are welcome to submit your proposal to those contests as well. Keep up the great work. We hope that by working together, we all can create solutions that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. Sincerely, Contest Fellows If there are additional comments from the Judges & Fellows, they will be included below.

Thank you for your submission! Unfortunately it is difficult to imaging how this could get implemented in the Boulder County School District because there is already a wealth of student environmental groups.

Starting with the youth is perhaps the most important action we can take to build a more sustainable world. It worked with smoking and seat belts.

The need is clear and it’s well laid out in the proposal. The proposal also has a lot of clarity regarding the steps to take, the organization of the club, a list of club activities, etc.

Some challenges for the team to address in the revision period:
- Currently there are many programs to engage the youth, for example Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots program. It would be challenging in our city to have the government direct schools to have clubs.
- How do you secure teacher's involvement?

Dear Administrator,

It is quite simple to secure teachers involvement. First of all before the establishment of the club in a school a climate change presentation is made to the teachers using audio visuals etc to create awareness among them and above all to motivate them to take action. I am sure that after this training many teachers will volunteer and will want to be involved. Among the volunteered teachers one of them could become the coordinator in the school. Again, I network of all the volunteered teachers in the town could be formed in order to coordinate all their activities. a day within the academic year could be selected to bring all the teachers together to retrain and they will learn from among themselves and share success and their challenges. The teachers play a vital role in the success of this program.

As the government acceptance, It is true that up till now there are so many people who do not believe that climate change is real, even in congress. We must win the battle against deniers. Climate change will affect everybody including those in government. Therefore, it is important to enlighten those in government and lobby them to accept the establishment of the clubs in schools.

If there are other programs I suggest a harmonization of activities for maximum impact and results.

Thank you
