To create more cohesion, to be the first source of information that you find, and with the ability to interact, seek, generate, find and boost answers to counter it fast with social media.

21 is an ultra dynamic website proposal, that aims to create that spark/chainreaction to connect as much disciplines, governments, organizations and people as possible to counter global warming locally and globally.
To create more cohesion, to be the first source of information that you find, and with the ability to interact, seek, generate, find and boost answers to counter it fast with social media.
Everything is dematerialized and on line to ensure a worldwide spread in a green way.

What is your proposition?
“climate change will bond us more together as a whole, fighting this one together’.

Climate change is happening right now and it looks like the biggest challenge for mankind to counter this issue. This is a humble effort to make a difference, bring more cohesion into environments needed to counter this problem and promote more multidisciplinary thinking.

It’s like the name says, it’s all about the 21th century, and maybe the starting point of new implementations that are able to comprehend and tackle this century’s challenges. And those challenges are expected to be huge. There is climate change, and a lot of consequences that goes with it; potential destabilization of regions, climate refugees, shortage of food and water, drastic weather patterns, gigantic economical consequences etc. and all this in combination with a growing world population, growing energy and material needs,


My goal is to create more interactions between several fields that are up to the present non existent, to come up with solutions to counter this issue. More connections to cross check and discuss all over, so that people can implement small but important changes individually, and help each other more globally and locally…this issue demands more corporation all over so this system tries to bond the world together a bit more.

It aims to be a complete dynamic source of info that you can find on the internet about climate change with dynamic pages, globally and locally.It aims to give you more insight in this problem and more importantly, what you can do to help.


It brings more cohesion in a green way (everything is dematerialized) between disciplines, and creates a bridge towards the public.

Are there similar products/services being developed or on the market already? If so, what sets your idea apart?

there are many initiatives around, but 21 tries to make more of a fist, combining them all into this one website.

Open source, this is for everyone, by everyone.

Describe your product in an elaborate way
21 is a flexible on line gathering point that is yet to be filled in by a multidisciplinary team and should be suited for everyone, from one individual, a household, up to large corporations/organizations/ governments.


The technology is there to connect people/disciplines from all over the world in a dynamic way, why not use it to counter global warming?
The focus lies on line to be able to connect to as much people as possible. It has an information giving purpose, but also an idea generating purpose.


As it relies on a positive chain reaction of (cross checking) info and ideas between organizations, governments,corporations, fields and people.
Because global warming isn’t a static thing, 21 should be an evolving instrument too. A dynamic approach ensures this.
21 is a proposal to some kind of a framework where everyone can plug in to, to debate on theproblem(s) at hand and create/propose solutions for it on a local and global scale. I tend to use steam (from the gaming world) as an example to what 21 can be.
Steam is a platform for a lot of games but uses one framework to make it work. Just like every game on steam, each organization/individual should be able to plug into 21.

How will your product/service reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
Being totally dematerialized it is the best way all around to connect people all over the globe.
You can see it as a permanent global summit with interactions all over to create more of a fist towards handling this issue, with spreading out possible solutions and implementations on a local level, and globally.

You can choose to try this one out pilot wise in one region. If the pilot should work, you can spread this one out to other regions.

Why is your idea going to change the world?


It could create that spark and chainreaction towards more cohesion, needed to solve this one.

The target market is as wide as possible, to spread this one out as much as possible because of it’s global relevance, to ensure that chainreaction and connections all over. It is divided into several segments though to manage it.

What will your product or service cost?
On line is the cheapest and most effective way to reach out.
But there will be some costs building this ultra dynamic and social website.
It will be a challenge to build this one. I haven’t got a cost estimate yet, only a first contacts with some firms, and they say it’s doable technically.

How will you inform your (potential) customers about your product?
everything would happen on line, to avoid paper use and costs (and avoid a carbon footprint increase).


Who will take these actions?

The target market is as wide as possible, to spread this one out as much as possible because of it’s global relevance, to ensure that chain reaction and connections all over. It is divided into several segments though to manage it: professionals from different fields, governments, organisations, NGO’s and individuals.


What are the key challenges?

Believe it or not, this website concept idea is almost a decade old.

I experienced great difficulty into trying to implement such a platform more locally, together with finding funding towards such an initiative.


What are the key benefits?

It could be a binding element to connect people from Boulder ao areas.

It could also be an active element towards further involvement from every actor and counter the sense of inactivity, overwhelming helplessness of the issue described by Kari Norgaard (1)
