I fully agree interest is a luxury mankind can not afford when it comes to mitigating and adapting to climate change. In a blog post http://theenergycollective.com/jim-baird/2226236/case-interest-free-sustainable-energy-financing#comment-206126 I suggest that the operation of the Bank of Canada between 1938 to 1974 when it provided interest-free loans to government to finance infrastructure investments is a useful analogy for essentially the same as is proposed here. It is also suggested as part of the action plan for the proposal The Diverse Energy Potential of the Water Carrier Hydrogen https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/1301501/planId/1317203 to which I will add this proposal as a related proposal .
