Dear RE-volv, Thank you very much for your proposal on the “Youth action on climate change” contest. Your proposal was among the 15 which the Fellows pre-selected for the Judges but unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the semi-finals. The workability and thoroughness of it were particularly appreciated by the Judges. Transforming universities into “hubs” for solar energy development is a promising concept. However, they also noted that the proposal had weaknesses when it came to the sustainability of funding (crowd-funding is hardly a stable source of income and many different projects are competing for resources) as well as human resources (there is a strong turnover among students, which the proposal doesn’t deal with enough). Overall, the proposal was solid but it lacked the extra originality that convinced the Judges to advance similar proposals to the semi-finals. Thanks again for your contribution, and best of luck in participating in future CoLab contests or taking the Solar ambassadors project forward! Best, Antoine on behalf of the “Youth action” fellows
