Dear GreenBits Initiative, Thank you very much for your proposal on the “Youth action on climate change” contest. Your proposal has progressed to the semi-finals, congratulations! The workability and freshness of it were particularly appreciated by the Judges. Producing content for young people on climate-related topics is not unheard of, but having it done by young people themselves, and in many different languages is something else. It seems like you have found an interesting formula for global knowledge creation. However, the Judges also noted that assessing the actual impact and scaling-up potential of the initiative was difficult, based on the information you gave. A revised proposal would need to give more precisions on this aspect (current readership, cost of publication, number of translations planned in 5 years… for instance). Moreover, it would be helpful to provide more information about what this “guidebook” would contain, what added value it will have, and possibly what other innovative formats could be used (guidebooks are quite common, if not mundane, in the field of climate policy). Which format would young people be more likely to learn from today? Finally, make sure that the English in your revised proposal is impeccable - there were some misspells in the first version. Thanks again for your contribution, and best of luck revising your proposal for the Finals! Best, Antoine on behalf of the “Youth action” fellows

I am impressed to see the growth of this initiative over the last few years. I see a lot of potential in this proposal, and knowing the team very well, they are quite able to implement and achieve much more if provided with the platform. Young people are yearning for information that they can use to take action- climate change information is critical and needed particularly in emerging and developing economies where more opportunities exist for co-creation of sustainable solutions. Go Green Bits Initiatives!!!

This is quite inspirational (hence my vote an spread of the message) and I believe has great potential. An added value in a youth focused toolkit, I think, would be smart use of new media and video messaging that would bring out the passion in the issues. Just a thought to my awesome greenbits friends...Kevin
