A good idea.

We are still not 100% clear it would be financially sustainable. Beyond the development phase, how do the creators imagine this would be funded?

We wish this particular proposal was more explicit in including more than just city officials by inviting practitioners.Beyond generic "sharing", how will themes of work be organized in the forum? Or will theme evolve based on user contributions?

"Connecting city's and their leaders is hugely effective, so mechanisms to do so are very important. One of the biggest challenges with web based platforms like this is their sustainability - once it is up who updates it? who maintains it? and where do these resources come from? No NGO will do this for free either, they have costs to cover. This is a major missing item that reduces the feasibility of the proposal. And funders also do not generally sink money into web based platforms unless there is a sustainability model in place."

"I like this proposal. It addresses a clear need and with a specific, staged solution with a build-up in selected cities.Several things things not in the proposal need to be considered:
1. A development plan for raising money beyond the two year start up
2. A communications plan that would build momentum for the idea. The success of the ultimate platform would depend greatly on people KNOWING about it. That requires a communications and outreach effort, not discussed in this proposal.
3. There will be additional costs to participating cities and groups. How will these be calculated and justified to the cities?"
