Interesting idea, but additional info and elaboration is needed. Bringing people together and sharing different perspectives would spread knowledge and insight, and promote collaboration and coordination. But this is true globally, not only in Colombia. One important next step would be to raise awareness and educate the public about the different options for agricultural practices, and the true price of food (including the damage to the environment, health etc.). For example, understanding the environmental cost of raising cattle won't necessarily make a farmer change his methods, as long as there's market demand for plenty of cheap beef. The solution may be a combination of gov't regulation and public education. The proposal is valid and interesting, please develop and elaborate. Cheers !..

Great idea. I worked with local small farmers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I worked with participatory methodologies with those farmers to identify their local problems and work with possible solutions together. I have used Participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools. They are great to work with farmers to share different ideas and come up with a feasible solution. Paulo

Agriculture is one of the significant contributor of GHG emissions into the atmosphere. It is excellent idea to integrate land use and scenario planning for climate change. You can plan to add tools like Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) which has been used to manage GHG emissions from land use. Need more details for further assessment of the proposal. All the best!
