This is a practical proposal that could offer significant reductions in energy use if adopted widely. The "eco-wand" product offers simple feedback for individuals and offices, etc., to achieve their idea "comfort" temperature, thus cutting down on energy wasted due to over-cooling homes in summer and over-heating them in winter. Perhaps the proposal could be a bit more visionary, although the focus on concrete emissions reductions is refreshing. The proposal itself could be a bit more polished (proofreading, for example). Personally, I'm not so sure that this software will provide significant incentive above and beyond that already provided by economic incentives that households face. There is no question that we are losing tremendous amounts of energy by mismanaging the temperatures in our office buildings and homes. But commercial energy management systems are becoming quite sophisticated, and home energy management is quickly catching up (i.e. Nest). How is your proposal any different? And how will you penetrate the market that is filled with some pretty big players?
