The proposal may be of use to an individual building owner. However it doesn't answer the question of how it will empower the public to build awareness and demand for green buildings. It would require significant management and cost, with little obvious benefit in advancing the green building agenda. Assessing how much work would be required under each tool is likely to be highly subjective,and the tool would add another layer of effort in seeking a rating Identifying innovation for real estate managers to give them "a nudge in a green direction and help changing the mindset of potentially the entire real estate industry" is a creative and interesting proposal. More work is needed to detail what the rating tool would produce and how this would engage more people to demand green buildings.
