Excellent analysis focusing on identification of problems / concerns that makes it easier to address. The Action is kept open. That needs to be identified. Such as Millennium Development Goals, UNESCO and Governments could bring in awareness through 100 millions schools in the World through curriculum teachings in the classrooms. As the tree maturity is 15 years i.e. by 2030. The GHG concentration peak is foreseen by 2020 thus the action is already 10 years behind schedule. With population growth urbanization and tree cutting for life support activities in developing countries is realities of life. But then there are initiatives on going as well. Germany is undertaking lot of research in passive building designs, giving farm houses in outskirts of city for urban dwellers to do farming, planting and enjoy weekends over there. Global serious errors of design has nicely identified the issue in quantified terms, the actions pointers deserve more thinking and elaboration. Thanks, Manohar

I like the analysis as well. Quite convincing. Yet I think it would be much clearer if the author could organize the proposal in a simple and unified visual format. Although the author has already had some ideas on what different groups should do regarding this issue, it would be better if the author can further break down the idea and give more details on how to acgieve at each stage.

Afforestation seems like a simple and effective method to sequester CO2. I would defenitely prefer it over Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) as CCS is an unsafe technology up to date. However, you might propose different tree species that are adapted to different ecosystem regions of the world. For example, there are nine biogeographic regions in Europe: Alpine, Atlantic, Black Sea, Boreal, Continental, Macaronesian, Medi-terranean, Pannonian and Steppic. And perhaps, identifying regional carbon emission hotspots where action should be implemented first might also be helpful?

You know , 2.5 USD = 1 Trembesi = 28.5 tons CO2 is my standard . But we have different biogeographic regions in the world . So the question is if we don’t use Trembesi , can native tree species come from different biogeographic regions absorb CO2 like Trembesi ? If we propose people plant trees , plant 5 or 10 trees , it’s OK but advice people plant 30 , 50 , 100 trees for errors of design for 1 house , 1 car - a real problem . On average , 1 acre have 120 pine trees which absorb 5 tons CO2 – if I were not wrong , 1 cars in US emit 8.48 tons CO2 per year so at least we need 200 or 220 pine trees to absorb 8.48 tons CO2 , it’s impossible to propose 1 family plant 220 trees . If we choose native tree species , it should be the species absorb highest CO2 , grow very fast , live some hundreds years . 1 acre = 120 pine trees = 5 tons CO2 , we can plant 5 or 10 Trembesi = 28.5 * 10 = 285 tonsCO2 per acre => save area .

Update The Impact of Proposal “ Global Serious Errors of Design of the World , Environmental Laws “ on climate change with result : Absorb 2 329 559 574 804 tons CO2 > Emit 595 245 000 000 000 tons CO2 in 15 years , if 1 year we emit 39.683 billion tons CO2 .

Your proposal seems to have an important message, but the presentation could be much improved. Most importantly, the information presented should be reduced to the essentials and the message of the proposal should be made clear in the first few paragraphs. It is very hard to read this proposal, especially with the fonts used in the pictures. Evidently, a lot of effort has been put into this proposal, and it points out some very important problems. However, it also doesn't address some key aspects, such as how to get governments to implement the plans in this proposal. As an idea, maybe this proposal could be worked out together with an NGO?
