What if we taught body calendars via a board or video game? The game would challenge people to plant and harvest at the right times.

Description

Summary

What if we taught body calendars via a board or video game? The game would challenge people to plant and harvest at the right times.

For example, a simple board game could have players managing their crops as the seasons goes by. Dice determine the weather and other random factors, and the players make decisions about what and when to plant and harvest. A board game could be easy to reproduce and transport to remote areas.

In video form, we could offer a more sophisticated simulation, and it could be easily spread over the internet.

Just some ideas so far, please suggest others!

Category of the action

Adaptation

Who will take these actions?

In addition to designing the game, which I would be happy to help do, we would need an artist and an expert on body calendars.

What are other key benefits?

Games can be highly motivating- a great way to get people to enjoy learning. Games can also be used to spread awareness to a larger population.

What are the proposal’s costs?

Simple games wouldn't cost that much money.

One challenge would be translating into multiple languages.

Time line

The best way to design games is through iterations of creation and testing. But it could be still be done quickly, like over 6 months if we have the time to devote to it.
