You should propose, at least, a pilot in some place in the world. This proposal has a very large scope to be evaluated. If you consider what is happening right now the international negotiation about climate climate change, one of the mains topics is adaptation and that's why the GCF was created, in order to support, among others, adaptation initiatives around the world.
From the economic perspective, you don't mention how much it may cost and where it should be implemented at the begining. You need to include more details and specific information.
Regards,
Ricardo

@ Johnnie Buttram, You hit the nail right on the head. Globally, developed countries are slow in response to climate change especially for sea level rise, because they are not the ones who will feel the brunt of it. The sexy "Environmental and Climate Change" terms exists for most of the conferences and academic disciplines. The people, who are living on the islands are already suffering the in terms of food, shelter and lost of livelihood. In future, there will more climate change immigrants, than ever! or we have to avert from future damages which will happen to these marginalized poor masses. I suggest you should add the climate change immigrants in your proposal.
Best of luck! I am looking forward for your full proposal.

Dear Ricardo Jimenez and Sardar Mohazzam,
As I became more submerged into expanding this "A Common Sense Transition To Adaptation!" proposal, which is more conducive to local and regional adaptation . . I feel the additional information we need to impact adaptation on a global scale may become confusing and overlapping.
To alleviate overlapping issues, I will leave this proposal, "A Common Sense Transition To Adaptation!" intact to deal with local and regional issues.
I will also begin posting a new proposal on the Co Lab Contest: "Adaptation to Climate Change" website that will seriously address and impact clean energy, drought, coastal flooding, and migration on a global scale.
Thanks again,
Johnnie Buttram

Dear Johnnie Buttram - Best of luck! However, taking one idea to the mature stage and see how it will fit into the policy arena will help you and many other readers. This is where some of the research part comes into play. But you are better judge!

Dear Sardar Mohazzam,
Thank you for your comment.
I believe the problems associated with local, regional, and global adaptation will all share the need for food, water, and shelter.
But I also believe to find the solution we need to address all the complexities involved will require two concepts.
This proposal "A Common Sense Transition To Adaptation!" will address the local and regional problems.
A forth-coming proposal titled, "Safely Addressing Adaptation on a Global Scale!" will start materializing this weekend.
These two solutions will be perpetually up-dated until the cut-off date.
I am afraid Planet Earth (especially the USA) has become so complacent in our thoughts and actions that we forget that adaptation . . without the bare essentials of food, water, and shelter will create the roads of forced migration and despair the masses will follow to everyone.

Hello Johnnie,
Good thoughts and ideas put together in your proposal but it is very generic. It should be very specific by using a particular area for implementation as a pilot study which can be extended or replicated in other areas.
I look forward to reading more about specific action plans.

Hi,
Interesting proposal, I have to comments:
(2) Expanding fish stock.
Basically what you are proposing is to use these structures as an artifical reef. This is a good way of attracting marine fauna and increasing fish stock locally and ideally should be implemented not only in ports like you suggest, but instead also on a broader scale. Nevertheless, there are plenty of other ways of creating artifical reefs that are easier and cheaper to develop. Do you have an estimate cost of these conduits?
(4) Manufacturing food pods for human sustenance.
Considering that pods living in the sand (mesofauna) are "tiny" animals,I am not sure if this initiative would have the desired impact. Did I understand your objective correctly?
Thanks

Dear Arese and Helio,
I first want to apologize for taking so long to get back. Although I've had my graphics ready to post for over a month now - I have been unable to apply them to the template. The person I hired to help me post my graphics to my proposals has been out of town for the last 3 weeks but has promised to post them this weekend.
I will also be using more specifics when updating this proposal to meet the July deadline.
When you view the graphic this will help everyone better understand the conduit design as a free standing entity will not only serve as a buffer to sea expansion but also manufacture food and energy . . to help provide the essentials for local communities.
Once again, I want to apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience and helpful suggestions!
sincerely,
Johnnie Buttram

Hi, good in the expressions you used to describe the consecuences of the change of climate as well as the problem of prevention are excellent. However, a lack of explanation is evident. Moreover, ther reference area have not benn fulfilled.
On the other hand other international disasters like volcano eruptions (for example in 2008 in Aysen) might give you an idea of the big problems to be faced in any case. It is necessary to consider that not all countries will collaborte to your ideas because of the lack of economic means, not only awareness.

Dear Sergio Pena,
Thank you for your comments.
I am not qualified to be a social scientist as I lack the academia and political skills!
As a compassionate researcher and inventor I just try my best to give us more options to
evaluate. Your volcano eruption example was one of several eruptions I reasoned how we may
use wasted energy to return moisture back into the atmosphere and remove CO2 in the process.
I thank you for taking your time to help me and other inventors be able to hopefully do a
better job!
