Thank you for your entry and passion for this subject. This is a simple and practical political initiative and there are references that suggest that it could work. What we would have liked to have seen (and what is needed to make this an idea that could be implemented) is information on the types of plastics involved and their ability to be recycled. For example, often fast food restaurants use beverage cups and "bubble top" that are minimally or even non-recyclable. There is one missing step in making this a complete proposal, and that's looking at and speaking to the type and make-up of the products you would like to be recycled. Lastly, most fast-food beverages are consumed away from the dining establishment. We recommend recognizing and addressing that issue in this proposal as well.
