How can emissions from waste disposal be reduced?

Sewage treatment, landfills, and incineration are projected to account for nearly 5 percent of global emissions in 2030. Recycling can reduce emissions from the waste stream and also from the production process. This contest seeks proposals on how emissions can be reduced from all aspects of the management of waste.
