Nice and innovative approach. More educational oriented than for city leaders and officials but it would be a good way to raise awareness on the importance of wetlands. Is this a feasible project – can the implementation phases be more clearly articulated in the next iteration?

Thank you judges for final round selection and comment. In this iteration technical (in game play and game technology) and implementation feasibility (linking the proposed plan with functioning wetland information system of India for its continuous development and sustainability) was explored with theoretical justification.

Could be a useful tool for urban planners and other decision makers, as it could help simulate and assess the impacts of investments in urban infrastructure from the perspective of potential climate change impacts. But it is missing the social component, which is critical while planning for adaptation. The functioning of wetland is a complex process, and the proposal does acknowledge some of difficulties this creates. Hydrological modeling alone will not be sufficient. The proposal describes a potentially useful tool but will require more thought, specialized inputs, and refinement

Thank you judges for voting round selection and comment.
In the comment, did missing social component is indicating:
1. Confinement of Chipko wetlands only on wetland systems and its associated physical features, not inclusive of the society related with this features.
2. Relevance of a game itself in adaptation planning or other than these two, kindly clear me.
If it is subject (1) I think that is only a design limitation, that can be addressed by defining the wetlands system inclusive of society and creating the game world as per. Wetlands systems inclusive of associated society is to be the most popular definition and that we missed in the proposal.
If it is subject(2), I am excited to continue the discussion through commenting here based on popular book on this subject. McGonigal, Jane. Reality is broken: Why games make us better and how they can change the world. Penguin. com, 2011.

How about SimCity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimCity) game played with real cities in virtual globe for urban adaptation against climate change? Can Chipko wetlands be a candidature for that?. Yes, With ever increasing interest on 3D models of global cities and piling up data on satellite imageries for virtual globe and RADAR missions for digital elevation models, there is a inevitability to better use these data for making games. To play and be more adaptive.
