Hi Richard, Thanks for your proposal. You may be interested to know that a PRT proposal was one of the winners of the 2011 Climate CoLab national contest: https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/5/planId/15110 If you're interested in connecting with the author of that proposal, we'd be happy to make an introduction. If so, you can let me know by responding to this comment. Best, Rob Laubacher For the Climate CoLab team

Thank you for your submission! PRT is definitely a novel and futuristic idea. Unfortunately, your proposal was not selected as a finalist for the transportation efficiency contest. The judges have provided some comments for your consideration: - The idea of implementing PRT has been around for a few years without much progress. It would be good to hear more about how it can be implemented, in addition to the barriers to implementation. - Implementing this will require additional infrastructure which makes wider-scale deployment infeasible (however, we suspect PRTs will infiltrate some niche markets). - Unless PRTs are all electric and electricity is carbon-free, this will not be beneficial for carbon mitigation.
