Hello team, Thank you very much for your entry! We thought it included a lot of great ideas. Judges also mentioned that you could perhaps have used more details on your implementation plan (how are you going to get this done, step by step)? We thought all of the recommendations are excellent points over the long-term. Perhaps this is several separate projects?

Thank you very much for your comment. I am glad you like the ideas! I totally agree that my initial submission is very short on implementation details. (I only had about an hour to write this and I am a slow writer, so that was the best I could do under the circumstances!) If the plan happens to make it through the first round, I will pour a lot more time and effort into spelling out the details and economic analysis for the final round, however. Indeed there are enough ideas to split this into several separate projects. But that would detract from my larger point that a comprehensive strategy is needed. No one approach is going to be enough. (The plan for this contest cannot do everything, however. So it is necessary to focus in on some key areas.) I have personally been involved in the education aspect through a non-for-profit organization (previously as president and now as a committee chairperson) that shares vital information concerning diet, health and the environment with the public for free, sponsoring renown experts to speak at an expo we have held annually (http://nyvegetarianexpo.org/). That has been very positive, but we need to do a lot more than that.
