Interesting to consider both algae and biochar as biofuel that could produce electricity. (There is a previous contest proposal on biochar on the CoLab http://bit.ly/pf4kX8 ) Algae seems to be better suited to making a liquid fuel than biochar so perhaps algae would work ideally as a transport fuel and biochar as a decentralised electricity source?
