MIT Climate CoLab and the Winners of the Commercial and Industrial Efficiency contest presented at Horizon18, a conference on clean energy that took place in Boston on October 10-11. Winners presented their innovative proposals that suggested ways to improve energy efficiency across a range of corporate facilities.

Climate CoLab will be co-hosted an event with MIT's Graduate Student Council, which highlighted several winning proposals from contests in 2018 and 2017 that address global climate change.
The event featured eleven winners covering a variety of topics within global climate change. All winners not only presented their idea, but engaged in vigorous dialogue with the audience during panel discussions. Participants got the chance to ask the speakers on stage questions and also connected with them after in a more intimate setting. We also encouraged participants to share their experiences with winners, and suggest ways the proposals could improve.
The event was held at the MIT Student Center in Lobdell and West Lounge from 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM (ET).

In addition to the events on October 10 & 11, MIT Climate CoLab was also excited to be a HUBweek Collaborator! HUBweek was a week-long city-wide festival celebrating ideas and innovation in the Boston area hosted by MIT, Harvard University, The Boston Globe, and Mass General Hospital. MIT Climate CoLab held an event at the Ideas stage. Audience members heard pitches from eleven innovative winners working to address global climate change. A $10,000 Grand Prize Winner was also awarded. The event took place on October 12, 2018 at 10AM (ET).
